Retention D3

Mission

Independent Tel Aviv based mobile games developer Wizits worked with Liniad in the early stages of its casual game: Lucky Buddies. The main objective was to drive high retention users to the game, increasing the number of users that achieve day 3 retention.

Solution

With the game being in the early stages of its soft launch, Wizits were looking for optimization methods to increase their retention performance. Liniad noticed that most of the traffic was directed towards Facebook Audience Network placement while showing good potential. Knowing the potential value SDK networks offer developers in their soft launch stages, Liniad leveraged on those initial insights and offered to publish the game on two of the leading networks – Ironsource and Applovin.
The new campaigns were created based on the networks’ best practices and were directed to the same audience while utilizing the top-performing creative.

Results

Within one month after directing traffic, the SDK networks day 3 retention rates increased by 10%, while within two months, day 3 retention increased even further – 15% more than the prior average.
